The After-Christmas Hack that Will Change Your Life
Hello all! I hope you had an amazing, joyous and love-filled Christmas yesterday. We had an an incredible Christmas with my family. My family really out did themselves with this years gifts. My niece, Monster, is now 3 years old so she's at the age where she's enjoying Christmas which was great to see. Frankenstein, my 10 year old niece, is at the age where she starts getting cool gifts like kayaks. Seeing how much they enjoyed their day made mine so much better.
This morning we were up and out the door before 7 AM to hit up Target's after Christmas sale. We got the usual discounted Christmas decor (as if we needed anymore), gift bags, wrapping paper and gift tags.
We also stocked up on things most people don't think to purchase.
We picked up storage totes, Ziploc bags and food containers. Sure they have Christmas swag all over them but who cares? I'll rock a red food container all year long. Other items that you can get deeply discounted the day after Christmas: napkins, plates, paper towels, cookie mixes, Christmas candy, etc.
We also popped into Old Navy, Petsmart, Joann's, Kirklands and And That!. Believe it or not, I behaved myself and didn't blow a bunch of money on Christmas decor this year. I guess there's a first time for everything, right?
But that's not why we're here.
Ashley's been on this cleaning kick lately. Like full on, hard core, deep cleaning. Shoot me now.
The fact that our table has been decorated has driven her absolutely crazy so, we began packing away bits and pieces of Christmas to prepare for the cleaning frenzy.
Yesterday I set aside all of the tissue paper in our gift bags.
No, I'm not a gift wrap, bow and tissue paper hoarder. I put this stuff to use. This, people, is what you came here for.
The After-Christmas hack that will change your life. Why toss the paper out when you can put it to good use?
Boom! Use your tissue paper to wrap your Christmas china. Brilliant, I know. Hold the applause.
You can also use it to wrap your holiday mugs.
Or holiday ornaments.
And there you have it. Okay... so maybe it won't change your life but it will definitely make it easier. You could also use the used wrapping paper itself if you wanted to go the extra step.
