Creamy Cranberry Cilantro Dip

December 8, 2017

Cranberry, Cilantro, Cream Cheese and Green Onions come together to great a surprisingly delicious holiday dip!

Hey, y'all!  It's time to put away all of the colors of autumn and break out the red and green for Christmas.  I know it's cliche to say this but how can it possibly already be December?  This year has just soared, hasn't it?  I can't believe we've already blown past Halloween and Thanksgiving!  It's now on to the next holiday, Christmas.

Do you have a ton of Christmas parties to attend this year?  So far I'm up three invites and I have a feeling there are still more to come.   I hate going to parties empty handed, I always like to bring along a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share.  I love bringing festive appetizers like this sweet and tangy Creamy Cranberry Cilantro Dip.  I know what you're thinking, cranberry and cilantro?  Seriously?  It's okay, I was doubtful when my sister-in-law first made it too.  I am so thankful that I fought the urge to cringe my nose and walk away because this stuff is dynamite!

The dip takes about 10 minutes to throw together and only has a few ingredients.   This festive dip screams Christmas and is always a big hit.  Seriously, people ooooh and ahhhh over this stuff.

2 blocks of cream cheese, softened
1 14 oz can jellied cranberry sauce
1/8 cup cilantro (stems removed)
1/8 cup green onion
1/4 tsp cumin
1 tbsp lime juice

1. Evenly spread cream cheese on the bottom of a pie plate or casserole.

 2.  In a small mixing bowl, beat together cranberry sauce, cumin, lime juice, green onion, and cilantro.

 3.  Spread the mixture on top of cream cheese.

 4.  Serve with crackers.

This stuff is seriously, crazy good!  In fact, I may even go as far as to say that this is my favorite of my sister-in-law's dips.  Surprise your friends and family's taste buds with this delectable dip.
