Game Day Chili Cheese Fries are perfect for parties, tailgates, and game day snacks!
Hey, y'all! Welcome to the latest installment of Sunday's Snacks where I share with you a recipe perfect for enjoying during the big game! Throughout this series, I have shared with you some super yummy recipes such as Jalapeno Popper Dip, Bunless Burger Bites, Loaded Tater Tot Skewers and Chicken and Waffle Sliders.
When I am coming up with a football friendly recipe, it has to meet the following criteria:
Simple enough, right? I mean, who wants to spend half of the game in the kitchen? Certainly not me! I'd rather be sitting in front of the big screen cheering on my Jaguars and Cowboys.
Football games in our household are a family affair. My brothers, sister-in-law, and all of our kids gather at my parent's house to watch the games on the big screen. It's a huge deal. Since there's a butt-ton of kids there, we make sure our football grub is kid-friendly. These Chili Cheese Fries are definitely kid friendly!
I love this recipe because it is simple to throw together and they taste great! These delicious fries are perfect for parties, tailgates, and game day snacks!
1 package wavy fries
15 oz can chili
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1 1/2 to 2 cups cheddar, Mexican Blend, Colby Jack or your favorite blend
Cook fries according to package instructions.
Meanwhile, in a medium-size sauce pan, combine chili, garlic salt, chili powder, and cumin over medium heat.
Once the fries have been cooked through, place them on microwave safe plate or tray. Cover the fries with the chili mixture. Top with cheese.
You may need to zap the fries in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the cheese has melted completely.
